Collect order at Pickup Point
No shipping fee will be charged. Please call or SMS to our collection hotline 9108-1059 a few hours in advance to arrange pickup time between 1pm-9pm, including weekends and public holidays, subject to staff availability. Cash payment only. You may complete the online checkout before contacting us to ensure smooth order processing.
Advance Payment Local Shipping (Fastest Delivery)
This should be your preferred method if you desire the fastest order processing time with flat rate shipping of $5 only, regardless of item weight or size! Most orders will be delivered by 6pm on the SAME working day if you complete checkout WITH payment (via online banking/ATM funds transfer) by 11am, excluding weekends/public holidays. If not, paid orders should be delivered by the next working day. Please ensure someone is available to acknowledge the parcel if you are not present at your office/home. For orders less than SGD$500, you are recommended to use either this option or collect at Pickup Point.
Cash on Delivery Local Shipping
For orders made within mainland Singapore AND exceeding SGD$100, we offer Cash On Delivery payment option with $5 basic shipping fee + surcharge (if any). For most products, order will be delivered to you by 6pm on the NEXT WORKING DAY if you place order online or via phone by 11am today, excluding weekends/public holidays. If not, orders should be delivered TWO working days after the day of your order. Kindly prepare exact cash amount to pass to our courier. Please note there is surcharge for time-specific or evening delivery, delivery on weekends/public holidays AND/OR to Sentosa, NTU, military installations, business parks, hotels and certain areas, all of which are subject to prior approval by our shipping department. You will be notified of the total shipping charge upon order submission.
International Shipping
McGill ships ALL items on this website to ANY part of the world via the MOST affordable method, which is Registered Air Mail of Singapore Post. Any order will be assigned to this shipping option by default. This shipping method is very much affordable compared to the major global courier services. The delivery time to most parts of the world is normally within 14 working days, subject to smooth customs clearance. If the item does not qualify for this option, we will inform you. If you require a different option, please email us your order details and option.
For excessively heavy items, you will have to contact us so that we can find a way to deliver to you should it exceed the weight limit for shipping to your country. Normally you will be informed of this procedure when placing such an order online.
You, our customer, are responsible for any import tax chargeable to your mailing address upon arrival in your country. Some countries do not have import tax for certain products. Thus McGill will attach the relevant customs documents to make sure that our customers in these countries are not being taxed unnecessarily. This service is normally not available by other dealers who do not care much about their customers' welfare.
McGill also gives you the option to use your preferred shipping method. This might be necessary and more secure for costly items. Just indicate inside the comments box when placing your order, whether you want to have EMS or other courier services. One added advantage of such a method is that you are able to trace the location of your item anytime you want, provided your country has a parcel tracking system.
Returns for Replacement
As a respectable company, McGill upholds the welfare of all our customers to the best of our ability. Should any of our products be defective optically, you are covered by our McGill Optics 1-Year Limited Warranty. Please note that this warranty only covers optical quality. Scratches, stains, dents, minute pits on mirror, accidental peeling-off of materials, etc. which do not affect the optical quality of your product will not be covered.
For customers outside Singapore, email us for a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and state the reason for returning the product. If the product is found to be defective, the RAN will be issued. You may then return the product to us pre-paid, ie. McGill is not responsible for your shipping charges. We will then send you a replacement. For customers based in Singapore, simply call us and we will provide a solution for you.
Please note McGill does not refund the money for your product. For example, if you bought a telescope from us and somehow didn't like it, McGill would not allow you to return the telescope to us and get your money back.
