RAYNOX HD-7000PRO 0.7x Wide Angle Lens for Digital Cameras/Videocams Description This premium model from Raynox is specially designed for use with the latest HD videocam series from Canon, Sony, Panasonic and others! It also works surprisingly well with prosumer level digital cameras such as the Canon PowerShot G11 or S5. Connects directly with 58mm threaded videocams or digital cameras. The use of stepping rings, also available from McGill, is necessary for equipment which has filter threads other than 58mm. Image distortion is well-controlled at -2.4% only. It has EXACTLY the same lens design as the HD-7062PRO which has 62mm threads. It has higher resolution than the HD-6600PRO, though the latter has slightly better distortion control. Comes with full-zoom capability. The body of the lens is made of solid aluminium, ie. no plastic parts. Its weight is manageable for a normal person and appearance-wise, it does not look too bulky when attached to most videocams. The centre of gravity is still within the user's hand grip and hence, stable views are achievable. The HD-7000PRO is an extremely high quality wide angle lens at a very reasonable price. Will be good enough for even advanced shooting! Auxiliary lenses from Canon and others simply cannot perform as good as this lens! Please do not ask us why these manufacturers are not dedicating time to research better quality auxiliary lenses like those offered by Raynox and yet charge higher prices for some of their outdated models!
