The McGill 2900DSF is an intelligent device which understands your camera’s flashing mechanism by incorporating a learning mode. Be it single or multiple pre-flashes produced by your camera, it will know when to flash for that perfect shot! Interestingly, even if there are other cameras around, you don't have to worry it'll flash without your knowledge! It’s a modern digital flash with high work-rate - can shoot potentially 2000 times with new set of 4x AA batteries. Ordinary digital slave flash units usually last around 200 times, or about 10% of the 2900DSF's capability. The 2900DSF's energy-saving thyristor circuit also offers fast recycle time in-between flashes. It is equally powerful to shoot more than 30metres away! In addition, this slave flash unit serves as a great source of illumination when you are doing macro shoots. As it can be orientated in any direction, it is extremely useful when shooting insects underneath some leaves or on the underside of some vegetation.
